The Ice Cabin is a temporary project built on the frozen surface of the Saguenay Fjord, at the heart of a village of fishing huts.
Seasonal and vernacular in nature, these ice cabins are emblematic of Saguenay’s winter culture and remain an integral part of local community life. Conceptualized as part of a Pilsner advertising campaign, the project pays tribute to this communal spirit by offering, for one evening, a warm and welcoming space for the fjord’s fishermen.

The cabin was prefabricated in our Montreal workshop, then delivered and assembled on the fjord in under four hours.
Its construction system, designed as a kit, was developed to allow for quick and simple assembly and disassembly.
